Morgantown, Wisconsin – WVU Medicine Children’s, the state’s only Children’s Miracle Network hospital, partnered with WVRC Media to host the Cares for Kids Radiothon on September 7 and 8 to help patients in need of life. and raised money for the family. change care.

Radiothon is broadcast live daily from 6am to 6pm from the Hostetler Family Resource Center on the 10th floor of WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital. Radio personalities tell inspiring stories about patients who have benefited from services provided by WVU Medicine Children’s. Past patients, along with their families and healthcare providers, will visit Radiothon at locations across the state to share their experiences on air.
WVRC Media President and CEO George Pelletier said: “Each year, thousands of children in counties served by WVRC Media are treated in the various locations where WVU Medicine Children’s providers treat patients. neighbors and our future, and we welcome the opportunity to help.
WVRC Media’s 33 radio stations will raise funds for WVU Medicine Children’s during Radiothon. Markets include Morgantown, Clarksburg, Elkins, Charleston, Beckley, Summersville, Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Cumberland, Maryland. In addition, WVRC Media’s MetroNews Network will participate in promoting the event.
The WVU Foundation, a non-profit organization that receives and manages individual donations on behalf of the university, is leading the fundraising effort.
