Valley Medical opened in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street (next to the Phoenix Pharmacy). In addition to access from Gay Street, it is also possible to enter directly behind the building from the prominade. Parking is available in the Prominade Garage right outside your door (but if you prefer to walk down the street, the State Street Garage is just $1 an hour). With a pharmacy in the same building and a parking lot at the back, it’s easy and fast to get treatments and medicines to go out.

In early March we met the owner, Sandra Bond, and she announced that this would be her second location. Originally located in Jacksboro, this will be the business’s first urban location. Ms. Bond, a practicing nurse, said she devoted an hour to each new patient and that she felt the practice offered a unique and personal experience for her patients, she said at the time. said.

Then, on May 1st, when they opened for business, I stopped by to meet Sandra and the new staff. Operations Manager Lindsey Longmeyer is the face standing at the desk. Charlotte MacDonald becomes the attending physician. Charlotte graduated with her master’s degree in nursing in 2011, after which she added her doctorate in nursing practice at the University of Alabama. She worked in the palliative care field, she worked in orthopedic surgery for “about 10 years,” and prior to this position she worked in emergency medicine and family practice. She is from England and has lived in Knoxville for over 20 years.

Lindsey served as the connecting point that held everyone together. Each of them worked separately. She was telling each of them that their practices were similar. They met and felt it fit. The thread that connects them, she said, is her desire to take the time to listen to her patients and understand their needs. Charlotte said they want to be a “neighborhood clinic”. Healthcare and what I do here is my passion. I practice medicine because I love helping people and I do it with all my heart. ”

Many people know that the clinic has opened, and the business is starting to increase little by little. “The patients we have seen are very satisfied and we have had great feedback from them,” Charlotte said. Business owners and residents are happy to hear about the clinic, she said.

Some patients heard about the clinic through word of mouth, Lindsey said, while a couple were previously Jacksboro patients but switched to the clinic. Especially weight loss customers are driving from Knoxville to Jacksboro and now have another option. Traffic was also obtained from passers-by and people inside the building. Pharmacies are also referred.

The clinic offers a wide range of medical services, including comprehensive primary care, hormone replacement therapy, weight management, and adds beauty services such as Botox. We offer a 24-hour returnable lab service. We welcome walk-ins for a variety of medical needs. They accept all major insurances except his Tri-Care and are working towards that. They will accept Medicaid and Medicare, Sandy said.
