The award helps advance neuroscience technology aimed at improving cognitive health

A team led by Washington University in St. Louis has won $1 million over two years from the National Science Foundation’s Regional Innovation Engine (NSF Engine) program. Called NEURO360, the team is one of nearly 40 teams nationwide to receive the NSF Engine Development Award and will foster collaboration to create economic, social and technological opportunities for their respective regions. The purpose is that.

The NEURO360 team also includes the St. Louis nonprofit BioSTL and other local organizations working together to revitalize a thriving, inclusive and sustainable neuroscience ecosystem in the St. It aims to improve the health status of undeveloped communities and address neurobiological health disparities. and inspire responsible, innovative and human-centered practices and future technologies. This engine is fueled by nationally recognized neuroscience and neurotechnology research in St. Louis, a new academic neuroscience lab building opening this summer, and academia, business and philanthropy seeking to strategically improve the economy through innovation. Leverage recent momentum from organizations, civil society and community leaders. and entrepreneurial spirit.

The first phase of NEURO360 will bring together organizations in the region to identify what it takes to take advantage of St. Louis’ strong research base in neuroscience.
