Jackson, Michigan – Summer is just around the corner and downtown Jackson offers plenty of opportunities to get outside this year.
Several events are scheduled from Jackson’s Downtown Development Authority, including the popular Cruise Ins, Food Truck Tuesday, and Friday Film Night.
It all starts with the first cruise-in on Friday, May 26th.

All of these events are aimed at getting people downtown, he said.
“People should take the time to watch the upcoming events, or come downtown and see the energy here. It’s a fun place,” says Speiser.
The DDA has been working for years to improve downtown events, including food trucks added last year and concerts at the cruise inn, he said.
“It’s become a whole event in itself,” says Speiser. “Some people come just for the concert.”
You can also see about 14 food trucks lined up on Tuesdays at Horace Blackman Park at 212 West Michigan Avenue. Friday’s Film Night continues to feature family-friendly films. DDA’s Facebook page.
