Taylor Swift made a “generous” donation to the Houston Food Bank ahead of her first show in the city on Friday.
This isn’t the first time the Grammy-winning singer has made a donation, according to the Houston Food Bank.
Amy Reagan, Chief Development Officer of Houston Food Bank, said, “Taylor Swift not only brought a weekend of great concerts to Houston, but also our mission to provide food for a better life. I made a generous gift to the Houston Food Bank to support
“We were pleasantly surprised when we were contacted about the news on Friday afternoon, but we were not surprised by her generous contribution because she has supported food banks across the country, including ours. She then made a generous donation to our organization, and we are touched by her generosity and continued support of Houston.”
The amount of the donation was not disclosed.
Swift is connected to the city through her mother, Andrea Swift. Andrea grew up in Houston and attended the University of Houston.
