St. David Medical Center Hosts Petting Zoo for Employees

AUSTIN (KXAN) – St. David’s Medical Center in downtown Austin gave hospital nurses and staff a break at the petting zoo on Monday.

The hospital had 14 animals that employees could interact with to help them relax during the day.

According to St Davids, animals included rabbits, turtles, lizards and chicks.

The St. David Medical Center said it hosted a zoo in honor of National Nursing Month.

According to the hospital, “The American Nursing Association has designated May each year as National Nursing Month to celebrate nurses and the exceptional care they provide to our communities.”
