(May 3, 2023) – Rushdi Food Industries, An Israel-based manufacturer is voluntarily recalling Mighty Sesame 10.9 oz Organic Tahini (Squeezable) with a specific expiration date of 9/25/23 due to t0 potential. salmonella pollution. salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the frail or elderly, and others with weakened immune systems. salmonella People often experience fever, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.Rarely, infections salmonella Organisms can enter the bloodstream and cause more serious illnesses such as arterial infections (infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
The recall is the result of the company’s request from the FDA and the Ohio Department of Health to salmonella in this particular lot. The company has received no reports of illness or injury to date. All stores that purchased this product within this lot code have been immediately notified of this recall and instructed to remove any products they may have on their shelves.

The recalled products were distributed during the week of February 23, 2023 through March 5, 2023 to stores primarily located in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas, as well as select stores nationwide. Any of the affected products may still be available in retail stores. All products are safe to consume, except those whose shelf life is affected as listed in the table.
