Duluth — St. Luke’s and Gateway Family Health Clinic announced the opening of the Northern Lakes Surgery Center in Moose Lake on Wednesday, March 22nd.
The multi-million dollar investment will expand healthcare in the region by providing high-quality surgical care to Moose Lake residents and surrounding communities in state-of-the-art facilities, according to a news release.
The facility offers several types of procedures, including colonoscopies, cataract removal and gallbladder removal, said Eric Nielsen, clinic administrator and vice president of the Northern Lakes Surgical Center Board of Directors. said in a news release.
“The added convenience for our patients and helping them avoid long trips, especially in winter, is invaluable,” said Neilsen.
The surgery center will use approximately 9,000 of St. Luke’s Plaza’s 25,000 square feet, with additional space reserved for future tenants.
