New WVU Medical Outpatient Rehabilitation Center Under Construction at University Town Center

Morgantown, West Virginia – Construction has begun on the new WVU Medical Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in the University Town Center of Morgantown. The facility is under construction adjacent to the WVU College of Medicine Town Center Clinic and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2024.

Outpatient rehabilitation centers offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Treatment options include aquatic therapy, manual and exercise therapy, soft tissue and joint mobilization, postoperative care, stroke care, functional capacity assessment, and lymphedema care.

Jordan Feathers, MPT, MBA, has been appointed Director of the new center. With his over 20 years of outpatient physical therapy experience and deep roots in his Morgantown community, he came to WVU Medicine.

“We are excited to offer a comprehensive rehabilitation that consists of three areas that all work together for the improvement of our clients,” said Feathers. “Working with the Epic medical records system makes it easier for our therapists to communicate with their patients’ physicians to customize care and improve functional mobility and overall quality of health in the community. Plans for the outpatient rehabilitation center were announced last August when the West Virginia University Health System Board approved a $177.4 million capital project.
