New Aston Martin DBX707 looks like this year’s F1 medical CAR – Robb Report

Aston Martin’s newest purpose-built vehicle is for the vast majority of F1 fans.

The renowned British carmaker unveiled the 2023 DBX707 AMR23 Edition on Thursday. A special version of the brand’s popular super SUV features a unique paint job that mirrors the livery of his F1 race car from the brand, and looks almost identical to this year’s medical vehicle, just without the siren.

DBX707 AMR23’s bold exterior package has been handpicked by Aston Martin’s Q department bespoke specialists. The SUV’s sleek, sporty body is finished with a bright Podium Green coating. The rich hue is broken up by a flash of lime along the bottom of the vehicle’s aero kit. The combo is impressive and will be instantly familiar to anyone who has seen Fernando Alonso record four top-three finishes in the first five races of the season. ‘Q’ badges on the front fenders and a set of all-black 23-inch wheels peeking out from the huge racing green brake calipers complete the exterior details.

The glamorous atmosphere inspired by the race continues inside the car. The cabin boasts a two-tone look combining Onyx Black and Eifel Green. The seats and headrests have lime contrast stitching, while carbon fiber trim has been added to the center console and dashboard. The door sills of the SUV are also decorated with the AMR23 logo.

As far as we know, what Q didn’t touch is the vehicle’s powertrain. I can’t imagine many people would disagree with this. The DBX707 is Aston Martin’s first SUV, the highest-end version, and came in second. 2nd place in the 2023 Car of the Year ranking. This vehicle looks elegant, but it’s also a true beast on the road and on the track. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine mated to a 9-speed ‘wet-clutch’ automatic transmission, it produces a gruesome 697 horsepower and 663 ft-lbs of torque. Thanks to its power, this SUV accelerates from 0 to 90 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 193 miles per hour. No wonder F1 has adopted this vehicle as his medical car for this season.
