Milwaukee food trucks will face tougher regulation under proposed bill

City leaders are proposing bills that would regulate when, where and how food trucks can operate in certain areas of the city, with the aim of cracking down on the bad guys and reducing the blanket ban.

Aldo. Jonathan Brostoff and Aldo. Jocasta Zamaripa drafted the bill, which will be submitted to the Common Council’s Licensing and Public Safety Commissions this month. If passed by the committee, it will be submitted to the Plenary Assembly on May 31.

“Right now, the city has too little choice when it comes to regulating food trucks. We want to implement the system,” Brostov said in a news release.
