Date and time: LIUNA Board Changes (pdf)
Yesterday, LIUNA President Terry O’Sullivan announced to the LIUNA Board of Governors (GEB) that he will be stepping down as President on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The GEB unanimously appointed Brent Booker as LIUNA Vice President, who at the time was LIUNA’s 11th President. Brent is a third-generation worker, the son of former LIUNA general secretary and treasurer Carl E. Booker, and a local he is the grandson of his manager Carl W. Booker at the Union 795 business. Brent served as LIUNA’s Director of Construction until 2012, after which he became Secretary General of the North American Building Workers Union (NABTU). He returned to his LIUNA last fall and became vice president following the retirement of LIUNA vice president Ralph Cole.
At this same meeting, LIUNA General Secretary and Treasurer Armand E. Sabitoni announced his resignation, also effective on Sunday 30 April 2023. At that point, he will become the next Treasurer General. A third-generation worker in his legendary LIUNA family, Michael was elected Vice President last year by the GEB. This is to fill a vacancy left by his Vincent Masino’s retirement as LIUNA Vice President and New England Regional Manager. I know that Michael, like Armand, will continue to secure the financial resources necessary for LIUNA to succeed and grow.
LIUNA Vice President, Pacific Southwest Regional Manager and Special Assistant to the General President Rocco Davis also announced his retirement, effective April 30, 2023. Pacific Southwest Regional Manager.

Indiana District Council Business Manager and Treasurer David A.
