Launch of Air Service Survey for Medicine Hat Residents

medicine hat – Medicine Hat Residents will be asked to provide feedback on community demands, needs and desires regarding air service from Medicine Hat Regional Airport (YXH) through an online survey.

The survey is open until Friday, June 2, 2023. Responses are confidential and results are compiled to protect data integrity.

“We are constantly striving to improve the air service and passenger experience for residents and travelers visiting Medicine Hat and the surrounding area,” said Airport Manager Logan Boyd. “In addition to business and leisure aviation service needs, understanding the existing travel practices of the community is an ongoing effort and will help shape priorities when communicating with airlines and other airport stakeholders. Citizen surveys are just one part of the Air Service Recovery Plan (ASRP). This is a comprehensive effort launched in 2022 to update the City of Medicine Hat’s air services strategy for his YXH. The project includes stakeholder consultations, passenger surveys, resident surveys and in-depth market analysis.

“The air travel industry has been devastated by the pandemic,” Boyd added. “This unique phase of redefinition across the industry offers a timely opportunity to understand how people are planning their travel after these unprecedented restrictions and circumstances. We look forward to developing strategies that meet the expectations of the community.”
