General Mills Recalls Gold Medal Unbleached Flour


On April 28, 2023, General Mills awarded Gold Award Unbleached and Bleached All-Purpose Flour 2, 5, and Recalled 10 lb bags. It may be contaminated with Salmonella infantis.

The California Department of Education’s Division of Nutrition Services urges food program operators to take precautions to prevent these products from being offered or consumed, and instead dispose of them according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Recommended.

Please note that these products are not United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) foods, according to the FDA.

MINNEAPOLIS (April 28, 2023) – General Mills today announced a voluntary award of Gold Award 2, 5, and 10 pound bags of unbleached and bleached all-purpose flour with a “valid if used” date of March 27. announced nationwide collection. 2024 and March 28, 2024. A recall has been issued for the potential presence of Salmonella Infantis found during sampling of a 5-pound bag product.

This recall affects two date codes for 5 lb and 10 lb bags of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour and two date codes for 2 lb and 5 lb bags of Gold Medal Bleached All Purpose Flour. All other types of Gold Medal Flour are unaffected by this recall.

Consumers are urged to check their pantries and discard any products affected by this recall. Consumers who have had to dispose of products covered by this recall may contact General Mills Consumer Relations at 1-800-230-8103.
