It was Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) who saved Port Charles from the extreme cold last time. This time, it was the love of his life, Laura Collins (Jeanie Francis), who performed the trick and saved the day! As GH head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor teased with GH EP’s Frank Valentini, the show’s 60th anniversary will be the original and iconic ‘Ice Princess’ story featuring many beloved vets. characterized by the reversal of , while introducing the next generation.
In Greenland, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Laura infiltrate Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) bunker. His father, Mikkos, was the lair where Cassadine hid in his attempt to conquer the world. Laura comes across an old-style computer, where she recognizes a weather machine program. Shocked, she explains to Curtis how her original weather station used carbonated snow to create blizzards, but it was destroyed years ago. I notice that this computer is running the same program. When Curtis questions her, it turns out that her second weather station must be there, with a computer attached to it. Laura affirms that Mikkos never did anything without a reason.
In the present day of 2023, Curtis realizes that there are two weapons at work, the pathogen and the weather machine, and Laura pinpoints the weather machine’s target to Port Charles. Heading to Port Charles, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Portia (Brooke Kerr) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) watch the snow fall from the windows of “General Hospital.” They are curious as to why it snows in May.
Meanwhile, Laura reminds Curtis that she was the one who saw the Weather Machine formula. She was buried in her brain when she burned the paper with the code on it, but she remembered it. In her Throwback clip, she remembers Laura telling her that Robert (Tristan’s Rogers) was always afraid that someone would come after her because of it. Asking Curtis if he trusts her, she enters her expression with a one-shot to end the program. Her attempt was successful, solving one problem, but more danger loomed.
Elsewhere, a pathogen-fed Valentin (James Patrick Stewart) sees Anna (Finola Hughes), having previously seen Helena (Constance Towers) talking to him. I think I’m hallucinating. Talking to Valentin through her window from outside her isolation room, Anna promises it’s really her. She wants to get a protective suit for him, but Valentin says it’s too late for that, somehow Anna gets into her room and she’s exposed to the pathogen. “Vanna” talks about their connection and their love for each other, knowing their fate may be sealed. Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) arrives after her showdown with Victor and has the antidote! Great performances from James Patrick Stewart and Finola Hughes.
Liesl (Kathleen Gutie) and Drew (Cameron Matheson) call Carly (Laura Wright) and tell Willow (Caitlin McMullen) that after they are safe after their confrontation with Victor, Liesle will survive. Tell them that you will be back to give them the bone marrow they need. .
Having escaped, Victor returns to the Haunted Star with a canister carrying the pathogen. He is furious to learn from Holly that she incapacitated him when he put something in her drink months ago. Victor learns that Spencer (Nick Chavez) has taken off with Ace and Trina (Taviana Ali). He plans to leave without his family. Victor must pour himself a drink and take the pathogen and antidote to safety, he says. Opening the canister, he yells “No!” Then comes Spencer. He demands that his uncle hand over the pathogen. Victor says he has to tear it out of his cold, dead fingers Spencer says “okay” and slams his head against the bar.
On the island, Trina with baby Ace meets Curtis and Laura. She warns them of the airstrike, but they have been called off from their original destination and now tell her that the WSB is sending drone strikes directly targeting the Haunted Star. and panics. Spencer is stunned when the sound of a bomb goes off.
