Free Medications with NC MedAssist

Wilmington — A free mobile pharmacy offering over-the-counter medicines will open on Saturday, March 25.

Sponsored by Humana and Wilmington Health, the pharmacy event is held rain or shine from 9am to 2pm and is open to all ages 18 and older. No ID required and no income limit.

Medicines are available at 2421 Silver Stream Ln. Includes cough and cold remedies, vitamins, children’s, allergy remedies and first aid supplies. All medicines are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Humana provides health insurance information, and Wilmington Health and SEEDS of Healing, Inc. are on site. SEEDS offers HIV/syphilis screening.

Volunteers are needed to run the event. You can sign up here. Click on the “New Hanover County Mobile Free Pharmacy-Alliance 3/2023” tab and select a time period.

NC MedAssist hosts multiple free pharmacy events statewide each year. Last year he hosted 53 and served 1,000 people.
