Former Quincy Medical Center apartment to welcome first renters this summer

The former Quincy Medical Center is now the site of Ashler Park, a 465-unit rental community in five buildings spread across 15 acres.

Located just over half a mile from the Red Line, Ashler Park offers suburban living not far from Boston. The community will include studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, which will gradually open to residents beginning in August. The Bozzuto Group manages the property.

Residents have access to amenities such as fire pits, outdoor grills, and multi-level pool decks. On-site facilities include a fitness center, yoga studio, library, private offices, and meeting rooms. Residents can also enjoy the boardwalks and private lounges in the community’s green spaces.

Monthly rentals for studios start at $1,925, and one and two bedrooms start at $2,175 and $3,025 respectively. All floor plans range in price and size, with the smallest studio at 485 square feet and the largest two-bedroom apartment at 1,250 square feet.

Each apartment has energy efficient windows. smart lock and thermostat; washer and dryer in unit; and stainless steel Energy Star rated appliances. Sustainability is a community focus and includes bike storage, repair rooms and electric vehicle charging stations.

Pets are welcome, but renters must pay an additional $70/month for dogs and $40/month for cats. As an added benefit, Ashlar Park offers ‘home away from home’ services such as cat feeding and plant watering.

Harbor Building will be the first to open to residents in August 2024, followed by Skyline in September, Woodlands in October and Quarry in April 2024.. Skyline and Woodlands buildings include dog laundry rooms. Shuttle buses run from the community to the Red Line.

The community has 592 available spots in both above-ground and underground parking.
