Food giant cancels Saddell’s Miami Beach lease

The Suddells won’t be coming to 1212 Lincoln in Miami Beach because Major Food Group has canceled a lease on its under-construction Crescent Heights mixed-use project.

New York-based hospitality company Major Food, led by Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick and Rich Trisi, has released a 10,000-square-foot space in a five-story building that towers over 1,600 blocks of Alton Road. Just west of Lincoln Road, according to the Commercial Observer.

But Major Food Group still plans to be involved in its first housing project in Miami.

In March, Major Food Group and David Martin’s Terra will partner with One Thousand Group to co-develop a 50-unit, 649-foot-tall waterfront condominium in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. is. Major Food Group will be responsible for branding and operating the dining and amenity spaces within the planned tower, designing kitchens within the units, and will also be involved in the design of 729 Edge.

In 2020, Crescent Heights sold the hotel portion of the planned 1212 Lincoln Project to CitizenM for $9 million, according to records. The development also includes retail, parking and an outdoor rooftop cinema.
