Implants are not approved for medical use because they are made of cheap grade silicone and burst twice as fast as the industry average.

Punt star Erin took to her Instagram story on Sunday to tell her followers that she finally went under the knife to have the implants removed.

She said the surgery had been “a long wait”, but she was glad it was finally over.

Sharing her experience, the mother of two added that she has been “doing very well” since returning home from the clinic.

Recording a video of her just taking a shower and wearing a dressing gown, she showed off some of the bandages around her torso.

“I put plastic wrap on my chest. I still have brown sticky notes on it, so it’s a little damp and I’m wearing a sports bra,” she explained.

“Actually, I don’t need as much care as I thought. Harry (her son) needs more care than I do.

“Today I’m a little pissed off. I’m doing so well. The painkillers were great, but today I’m feeling ‘so sad’ that the anesthetic has probably stopped working.”

“I was feeling pretty good after anesthesia, which usually makes me feel sick. But the last few days I’ve been feeling a little dizzy from the drugs.”

Erin said she didn’t originally intend to talk about her surgery, but wanted to offer support to other women who had failed PIP implants.

She admitted that she had had surgery on her long fingers because the thought made her nervous.

I was very nervous. I’m not going to lie I was at fault People used to say, ‘Oh, you did it so fast,’ but I didn’t.

“I was supposed to do this many years ago, but I kept putting it off and getting a consultation. I was. and he was laughing.

“I was like, ‘I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, so I don’t have to think about this. I don’t want to stay up in bed and think about surgery.'”

“It’s been a long, long time. I just walked in and said, ‘Okay, next appointment please. Here you go. “

Erin has previously spoken about her fear of having breast implants after receiving a €7,500 quote last year.

“I’m afraid to go under the knife. What will happen to Harry if something happens to me,” she said last summer, worried about her young son.

“They’re still fighting in court because of this damn thing. But we’ve decided we need to remove them and start over. We’ve decided it’s essential.”
