A longtime Emory Healthcare veteran has been appointed Chief Executive of the three facilities.
Jen Shook has been named Chief Executive Officer of Emory Decatur Hospitals, Emory Hillandale Hospitals and Emory Long Term Acute Care. She serves as interim CEO of her three facilities.
Shook has worked in the Emory system for 28 years. She started her career as a social worker.
Today, Mr. Shook leads three facilities with over 3,200 staff and 3,700 physicians.
“I am honored to take on this permanent role, focused on providing safe, high-quality and compassionate care for patients and their families, and a continuation with an amazing medical team,” Shook said in a statement. I look forward to working with you,” he said.

Michigan Health University Hires New Patient Safety Officer
Nicole Templeton has been appointed Chief of Patient Safety at the University of Michigan Health College.
Templeton has over 17 years of experience in healthcare quality and safety learning. She has spent nearly seven years as a Patient Safety Officer.

Tampa General Hospital Selects Chief Nursing Officer
Wendy Goodson-Selene has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of Tampa General Hospital.
Goodson-Celerin has advanced nursing practice and leadership for 35 years. She will direct all nursing services throughout Tampa General and will focus on further developing collaboration between nursing teams across hospital departments.
She joined Tampa General in 1988 as a clinical nurse and has held many roles within the organization.

Hilary Jayron has been appointed Vice President of Health Systems Quality Management for NYC Health + Hospitals.

Previously, since 2019, he served as Assistant Senior Vice President, Quality and Safety.
