(CNN) Emma Raducanu has said she will be off the tennis court “for the next few months” until she recovers from surgery on both wrists and one ankle.
In an Instagram post that included a photo of him wearing a cast on his right hand while he was in the hospital, Radukhanu said he will be undergoing “minor procedures” on both hands to resolve long-standing injuries.

Radukhanu said, “I am saddened to miss the summer event and tried to downplay the issue. Thank you to all the fans who have continued to support me when I was unaware of the facts.” Radukhanu wrote in a handwritten letter posted on Instagram.

She injured her ankle before the Australian Open earlier this year and withdrew from the Austin Open in February due to tonsillitis.
Meanwhile, the wrist injury that hampered Radukhanu last season returned at the Miami Open, where he was eliminated in the first round.
Last month, Radukhanu was beaten in the first round of the Stuttgart Open in less than an hour.
