Eastern Meat Solutions Recalls Raw Boneless Pork Products Imported Without Benefit from Import Reinspection


WASHINGTON, May 11, 2023 – Eastern Meat Solutions, Inc., an importer of record in Ontario, Canada, recalls approximately 40,763 pounds of raw boneless pork products that were not submitted for reinspection for import into the United States. The U.S. Department of Justice announced. The Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Raw boneless pork products were imported from Canada and further processed into barbecue pork products by another company.The following products are subject to the recall [view labels]:

  • 16 oz. Park Street Deli plastic package containing “SWEET CHIPOTLE Boneless Pork Ribs with Sauce,” lot number 3115. lot number 3123; or lot number 3114 on the package.
  • Plastic package containing 16oz Park Street Deli ‘Hawaiian Style Boneless Pork Ribs with Sauce’ (Lot #3115). lot number 3123; or lot number 3114 on the package.
  • A plastic package containing 16 ounces slot number 3116 “Market Ready BBQ Pork Burnt Ends”. lot number 3117; or lot number 3122 on the package.

The recalled products are given the enactment number “EST.” 4800 inches inside the USDA inspection mark. These items were shipped to retailers nationwide.

This issue was discovered by an FSIS inspector who determined that the product had not been submitted for FSIS import reinspection.

There have been no confirmed reports of side effects from consuming these products. Call your healthcare provider if you are concerned about a reaction.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators and freezers. Consumers who purchase these products are urged not to consume them. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS regularly conducts recall validity checks to ensure that recall companies are notifying them of their recalls. It has made it clear that it will take steps to prevent products from being offered to consumers for customers who are subject to the recall. When available, a retail distribution list will be posted on his FSIS website (www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls).
