Doritos’ SXSW restaurant offers late-night fare with SXSW chips


Being South by Southwest (SXSW), chip brand Doritos is bringing its Ghost Kitchen pop-up restaurant to Austin, serving late-night fare made with snacks.

The company created Doritos After Dark, a ghost kitchen restaurant pop-up shop in select cities (not in Texas) in December, focused on serving potato chips for a late-night drink. The Austin pop-up will include some of the usual menu items like chicken bites and beef sandwiches made with spicy-sweet chili-flavored chips. Cool lunch flavored stuffed mini pita sandwich. Then there are his two new Austin-inspired dishes. Barbecue Pulled Pork Nachos made with Doritos BBQ Chips and Margarita Cheesecake made with Doritos Flamin Hot Limon Chips.

The event will be held at 800 Congress Avenue in downtown Austin on Thursday, March 16 from 10:30 pm to 1:30 am at the Billboard House with music publication Billboard. Also included is a DJ set by Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee. Badge holders are also available, but the general public can try to win tickets, and there are sweepstakes contests.

Doritos is also hosting another event space called Taste the Night Tunnel, which will likely include chips.From Monday, March 13 to Tuesday, March 14, in downtown Austin. It will be held at 604 Driskill Street. Also, his SXSW concert at the Moody Amphitheater will also feature Dipping his bar serving refreshments.
