Desert Valley Hospital Introduces New Resident Program

Desert Valley Hospital received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to launch a new internal medicine residency program, hospital officials said.

According to the Medical Network, the internal medicine resident will complete a specialty rotation at clinics within the Desert Valley Medical Group and throughout the High Desert while undergoing training at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville.

The addition of postgraduate medical education at medical facilities gives you the ability to train future doctors. The three-year program begins with eight internal medicine residents each year, with a total of 24 residents participating over three years.

Medical facility residents will work and be trained under the supervision of attending physicians who are accredited in their specialties, hospital officials said.
