We also wanted to address areas of concern: “Never be afraid!” Dr. Palmer will continue to spend most of his time seeing patients at Perry. He has built great relationships with his current patients and we look forward to continuing this. At the same time, he will expand the reach of his services and the breadth of Dallas County communities that benefit from his care. This concern is precisely why you should consider Dr. Palmer when looking for a primary care provider at the Perry Center or Dallas Center in July. ”
Dallas County Hospital has acquired the Broadlawns Dallas Center Clinic at 507 14th St. and the new clinic, called the DCH Family Medicine Dallas Center, will begin operations on Monday, July 3, the hospital said on Tuesday. said in a statement issued to
Dr. Nick Palmer will serve as medical director of the DCH Family Medicine Dallas Center and will see patients at the clinic, according to a statement. Dr. Palmer has practiced primary care for his six years at his DCH Family Medicine in Perry.
Dr. Palmer is a second-generation health care provider at the Dallas Center, where his father previously worked as a physician and his mother worked at the center. He is passionate about serving the community of his center in Dallas and continuing the exceptional care his previous generations have provided to local families and patients of all ages.
In addition, DCH announced that Physician Assistant Sheri Schroeder has joined the DCH team and will continue to see patients at the clinic. Mr. Schroeder has been praised for his familiarity with the community and his reputation for providing excellent care. DCH said it is also inviting nurses and administrative staff to join the Dallas Center team.
Dr. McHorse has been a civil servant within the Dallas Center for over 30 years and his support and wisdom has been vital in the transition process to the DCH system, said the statement. DCH thanked him for his work and wished him well in his retirement.

A hospital statement said DCH continues its mission of providing universally accessible, high-quality, personalized care to its patients and looks forward to engaging with patients, neighbors and the community. Current staff at the Dallas Center will be visiting Dallas County Hospitals over the next few weeks to prepare for the change until normal operations resume.

A DCH statement said months of preparation and meetings took place between the DCH and Broadlawns teams to ensure a smooth and complete transfer and continuity of care for the patient. The hospital said it welcomes patients who choose to continue their care at the Dallas Center through Dr. Sheri Schroeder and Dr. Palmer.
