Chief Nursing Officer Retiring from St. Michael Medical Center

According to an internal memo obtained by the Kitsap Sun newspaper, the head of nursing at St. Michael Medical Center will step down in early June after nearly a decade at the hospital.

In a message to staff and healthcare workers in April, hospital director Chad Melton said Jeanelle Rasmussen, the hospital’s chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care, said, “After several years of intense work, He later announced that he would take a well-deserved break before pursuing new opportunities. He will be in the hospital until June 2nd.

A spokeswoman for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health confirmed her resignation.

Rasmussen’s admission to the hospital dates back to 2013.
