Austin, Texas (CNN) – update: The arsonist caught in the video was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to the Texas Attorney General,a 42-year-old woman was charged with criminal mischief of $25,000 to less than $30,000.
Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement that a woman was seen throwing a cigarette in a trash can and the fire was believed to have been set unintentionally.
The Austin Fire Department is investigating a trash can fire outside the Texas Attorney General’s Office.
Firefighters responded to a call Wednesday evening that a dumpster was on fire.
Attorney Ken Paxton turned over the video to authorities after it was released during a corruption investigation against Paxton.
The Texas Attorney General’s account tweeted, “Person of interest is a white jacket with no flames and a head of some sort.”

The Texas House General Investigation Team is investigating a $3 million public funding request for a settlement between Mr. Paxton and a whistleblower.
Paxton denies all wrongdoing.
