AG to delay implementation of Oklahoma transgender medical ban

The Oklahoma Attorney General has agreed to postpone the implementation of a new ban on transgender health insurance for minors while a preliminary hearing in a federal lawsuit is pending.

According to court filings and statements, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said the agreement “only gives him more time to present the strongest defense possible” and “never makes concessions of any kind.” It should not be interpreted.”

But the governor’s office strongly condemned Mr. Drummond’s decision and vowed to stop all transgender surgeries on minors.
