PARKERSBURG — WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center celebrates its 125th anniversary today during National Hospital Week.

According to a Camden-Clark press release, the event program will feature hospital executives, state and local officials, and other guests who will showcase Camden-Clark’s 125-year legacy of service.

In addition to the formal celebration ceremony, guests can view a life-size 85-foot historic mural that connects the hospital’s north and south towers. The basis for the historic wall installation was derived from a book, “A Compassionate Legacy” Written by RN’s Jean Young in 1993 to commemorate Camden Clark’s 95th anniversary. Young is a former nurse at his Clark in Camden, with a career spanning more than 40 years.
