PARKERSBURG — WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center celebrates its 125th anniversary today during National Hospital Week.
To mark the occasion, employees and community members are invited to attend the Camden Clark 125th Anniversary Celebration today at 1:30 pm at the Camden Clark South Tower Cafeteria at 800 Garfield Avenue next to the Emergency Department. will be
According to a Camden-Clark press release, the event program will feature hospital executives, state and local officials, and other guests who will showcase Camden-Clark’s 125-year legacy of service.
In addition to the formal celebration ceremony, guests can view a life-size 85-foot historic mural that connects the hospital’s north and south towers. The basis for the historic wall installation was derived from a book, “A Compassionate Legacy” Written by RN’s Jean Young in 1993 to commemorate Camden Clark’s 95th anniversary. Young is a former nurse at his Clark in Camden, with a career spanning more than 40 years.
Camden Clark Medical Center is a 302-bed licensed non-profit acute care facility serving the Mid-Ohio Valley. An area of 11 counties of 250,000 her inhabitants in West Virginia and southeastern Ohio.
